Freecycle is a grassroots, nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. You can post your give-away items to the website and, who knows, your trash might become someone else’s treasure!

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects unwanted shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people around the country. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has delivered over 17 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in over 127 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States. The National Association of Professional Organizers has teamed up with Soles4Souls and in a 2011 effort clients of NAPO organizers donated 165,000 pairs of shoes!

Electronics Recycling!  Habitat for Humanity of Michigan ReStores and Vintage Tech Recyclers have joined forces to provide many Michigan communities with on-going electronics recycling programs, free of charge. Recycle Ann Arbor – at Calvert’s Roll Off’s
On the second Saturday of every month, April – November, from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon, you can securely shred your papers at Calvert’s, located at 7891 Jackson Road in Ann Arbor. The cost is $4 per grocery bag or $6 per bankers box.
